Green Monday?

We are all familiar with 'Black Friday' and 'Cyber Monday', but what is 'Green Monday'?
Green Monday is an online retail industry term similar to Cyber Monday. The term was coined in 2007 by eBay to describe their best sales day in December, the second Monday of the month. With at least 10 days before Christmas online sales seem to skyrocket on what we now call Green Monday. In 2009, $854 Million was spend online in the US on this day. This year at least $1 billion is expected to be spent according to ABC News.
Online spending is up 15 percent from last year for the first 39 days of the holiday season with nearly $25 billion spent, according to comScore, which tracks Internet activity. Spending has surpassed $1 billion on six days in this holiday season, with Cyber Monday leading at $1.25 billion.
